My Concern

Am concerned, that,
The mango tree has fooled them,
Right in the middle of the city,
They read books the wrong way,
As they spent hours in the library,
That they used the wrong finger,
As they pointed the villains,
That they bought the wrong glasses,
When they disguised their faces

Am still concerned, why,
They chose the wrong saviour,
Yet none of them was blind,
Why the flag is soaked with blood,
At the hands of the grandchildren,
Why it was so easy a battle,
Yet so many of them had to die,
Why they begged for no mercy
As 16-calibers pelted them,

You know,i still have issues,
Not with the bravery we admire,
Not with the zeal we yearn for,
Not even with dreams we pursue,
Not with the history we pride of,
Not with the ignorance we habour,
Not even the utopia we live in,
But with the love we forsake,
...It is still my concern.

Yes we still have issues
that we choose to igonre them
we choose to deal with things
that just can't help us
we choose to ignore
the great things that can help us for the better.
