The Phoenix

The light had darkened their scrolls,
The more things whitened, the worse, and,
As forefathers admonished in poems and poems,
A conjecture was to shape the worlds' destiny,
...the phoenix had started its journey.

The lemonade was no longer reserved,
Everyone had tried the lemons...a daily dose,
Some say they saw him in the riverside village,
He rode on a stampeding calvary, heading west,
No, no, only the phoenix was to bring the savior.

The ancient prophecy was now unfolding,
Slowly the dark scarlet swallowed up the day,
The heads had gathered, only the fealty,
Ahead in-time to herd them westwards,
It was time,(sigh) the phoenix had come.
